My dearest friend Eeram,
If I could, I would sit next to you right now, hold your hand, and remind you of something you’ve probably forgotten in the chaos: you are one of the most radiant, energetic, and compassionate people I know. You’ve been running, helping, uplifting, and shining for so long.
I know your life seems to go in the reverse gear at the moment. But remember dear, even the brightest moon needs to rest behind the clouds sometimes. Similarity, your body and your mind are asking for a heartfelt pause my fellow mental health warrior. And that’s not weakness; that’s wisdom.
You Have Always Shone for Others
You’ve been that person who walked into a room and made it warmer. You’ve stayed up late to listen, carried others’ heaviness without letting it show, and kept going tirelessly- even when your own soul was tired. But my darling, maybe this is the season where you need to stop running and start receiving.
Allow Yourself to Hibernate
Do you know how cold-blooded animals hibernate to survive the winter? They slow down, retreat, and conserve energy - not because they are lazy, but because it's how they heal. You, too, deserve to rest like that.
In fact, I’m sure you’ve noticed even the trees and plants shed all their leaves in winter. Some still bloom; some look dry and lifeless. Yet, we never compare them. We don't say one is better than the other - they all have their own unique beauty. We appreciate each of them for what they are in every stage. So why should we “humans” compare ourselves with others? We are all unique. We are all differently able at different times. Let’s embrace ourselves as we are, when we are, and wherever we are in our journey. Our mental health is as important as our physical health, and we can allow ourselves to rest and digest all that life has thrown at us.
Your Kindness Is Your Superpower in Your Mental Health Journey
I know the world feels blurry right now. Your thoughts feel so heavy, simple things feel impossible - trust me, I truly know. But please don’t forget, you are the same person who has made others believe in light again. Now it’s your turn to feel held. Let your body slow down. Let your mind wander. Let your heart take space. The Mother Earth is here to hold you if you fall.
This is not the end. This is the gentle, necessary pause before you rise again.
You Are Still You, Even in the Pause.
Not being “productive” and not being “Functional” does not make you less valuable. Not having energy does not erase your impact. Needing help does not mean you’ve failed. You are still you - brilliant, beautiful, becoming.
I don’t know how you see yourself these days, but to me you still look the same pure soul, the same radiant person - temporarily vulnerable yet strong. And I love this version of you equally. I hope, this letter will enable you to see yourself with the same kindness you see me.
So, rest up my friend. Don’t rush recovery. Don’t give yourself any timeline. “Just be” …
Be kind to yourself
Be gentle and patient to yourself.
And just be the human you are. After all, you are a “human being” not a “human doing”.
My Final Whisper to You
Please hold this close:
“I am not the mask I wear. I am all the parts I’ve hidden - finally being seen.”
You don’t need to perform to be loved.
You don’t need to “be better” to matter.
Right now, resting is enough. Healing is not always visible - and that’s okay.
With all my love,
Payal

You are seen.
You are enough.
